Meet Cody Wiebelhaus: My Pledge to Riverside County

husband, FATHER, nurse, executive, & moderate—committed to common-sense leadership and being a voice for all.

Growing up in a small Texas town as the son of hard-working, conservative Republican parents, I learned from an early age the values of dedication, perseverance, and true love. My parents built a successful business from the ground up, creating jobs and contributing to our community’s future by constructing educational facilities. Witnessing their relentless pursuit of the American Dream instilled in me the belief that success is earned through hard work and resilience.

My journey took me from the University of Houston, where I captained the nationally ranked Co-ed Cheerleading Team, to ascending through various executive leadership roles at major corporations such as AccentCare, AT&T, Bosch, and Honeywell. In these positions, I honed my skills in operational improvement, strategic growth, and fiscal responsibility. However, my passion for making a tangible difference led me back to school, where I earned a nursing degree—not because I needed it, but because I wanted to make more informed, empathetic decisions that impact people’s lives. This blend of executive leadership and hands-on nursing experience uniquely equips me to advocate for real change.

My personal journey has shaped who I am today and fuels my professional purpose. After ending a 15-year marriage, I found love again with my husband, Dr. Dakota Carter, a triple board-certified physician. We married in 2017 in Puerto Vallarta with our daughter Kayden, now 17, proudly by our side. Co-parenting Kayden has been one of my greatest joys, and I’m incredibly proud of the resilient, ambitious young woman she’s becoming as she prepares for college.

It’s true that not everyone will agree on everything, and that’s okay. My husband and I may come from different political parties, but we’ve built a life rooted in respect, understanding, and finding common ground. That same spirit is what I will bring to this campaign and to representing  our district. Changing the poor representation in our district will not be easy—but nothing worth fighting for ever is. My life has been defined by hard work, integrity, perseverance, and a commitment to serving others. That is what sets me apart from the career politician who represents us today. I will always work for you, with honesty, humility, and an unwavering determination to deliver real results. That, I promise you.

Settled in Palm Springs, California, Dakota and I are committed to our community, volunteering at the Palm Springs Animal Shelter and serving as founding members of the Desert Wildlife Center, opening in 2025. These experiences reflect my lifelong dedication to service and giving back.

I’m running for Congress to represent Riverside County with leadership that puts people over politics. Washington’s divisiveness has gone too far. Our community deserves practical, results-driven leadership focused on lower taxes, better healthcare, safer communities, and protecting individual rights. As a moderate Republican, I believe in limited government, fiscal responsibility, and social progress. I understand the challenges families face and will fight for their interests, not for career politicians. My campaign is about real solutions and meaningful change.

I stand for open dialogue, active listening, and finding common ground. I represent the people—not a party—because together, we can create a better future for Riverside County.
